ON DECEMBER 21ST 2019, THE BREAKS ON OUR BRAND NEW 2019 X7 BMW COMPLETELY GAVE OUT WHILE MY HUSBAND AND I AND THREE MINOR CHILDREN WERE TRAVELING ABOUT 70 MPH ON NY INTERSTATE 87. ALL THE LIGHTS STARTED BLINKING INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND IT KEPT DRIVING COMPLETELY WITHOUT OUR ABILITY TO STOP IT. SINCE THAT DATE, FOR OVER 40+ DAYS THE CAR HAS BEEN WITH BMW FOR REPAIR WITH NO COMMUNICATION FROM CORPORATE ON THE CAUSE JUST A CONFIRMATION THAT THE BRAKES INDEED WENT OUT. CAR WAS PURCHSED ON MARCH 30TH 2019. THE SEATING OF THE CAR WAS MULFUCTIONING EVEN BEFORE THE DELIVERY OF THE CAR. The SOS malfunctions by disabling the center display panel. The satellite radio and navigation don’t work. An error message populates the main dash display and cannot be reset by driver. The SOS device box is located in the rear overhead panel where it’s very difficult to access. The dealer replaced the SOS box and Li battery. I was driving on a 3 lane road during the day with no cars near me with my hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road when the car applied the emergency braking and came to a complete stop. Thankfully no one was behind me. This was the second time it happened in a two week span.

the transfer case for this 2019 is failing, and cannot be repaired without changing the entire case according to the mechanic notes. there is a significant grinding when turning at slow speeds and a locking-up feeling to the steering. dealer will not admit to any issues. car was inspected by an independent certified BMW mechanic no warning or indication given other than the impaired handling of the vehicle.

I was driving on the freeway when due to heavy traffic, it was a stop and go. the engine stalled and on re-started on multiple trials. this created a very dangerous situation for an immediate accident as there were vehicles all around me. the engine stalling continued the next day also and I took my vehicle to BMW for servicing and they diagnosed engine starter motor failure which they then replaced and charged me $1,411.44 on June 27, 2024. While stopped in my vehicle waiting for another car to leave a parking space, my car shifted into neutral and then park on its own. I was able to get it started after a few tries. Engine shut off after a brief warning message on the dash while highway driving. I don't remember the exact words but it was a "drivetrain" problem. After the the message came on the car sputtered 2 or 3 times and then the engine shut down without warning. The car would not re-start. The car was stuck in the middle of the highway dead in it's track, in real danger of being rear ended by oncoming traffic driving at highway speeds.
