Customer filing a complaint against BMW for untimely resolution of Recall #25V644. This recall is a known Safety Risk which began in the summer of 2025. Owner report 11471107 · 2022-06-27 (June 27, 2022)
The Gear Shift area flawed design and defective assembly allows fluid spill to short out transmission and shifting ability. Assembly is not sealed correctly which allows a spilled fluid to leak through the gearshift on and into the the GWS. The GWS was not sealed causing a short in the the assembly & the need for its replacement at substantial cost to the owner. The drink holder is place next to gearshift area with no consideration that spilled fluid will cause the car to shut down and the GWS replacement. 06/21/2022
