2020 Bmw 330I problems and owner complaints

It's been about 3 weeks since the most BMW recent software update, (11/2023.50) has downloaded to my vehicle via the BMW connected drive services. This is the second time that over the air, BMW connected drive upgrades have failed to install on my vehicle. As before, the upgrade has downloaded to the automobile but will not activate as has happened successfully in the past. The drivers side front tie rod buckled while backing into a parking space at less than 5mph. This vehicle had pulled out of our home garage and driveway just 5 minutes prior to tie rod buckling. The car was fully operational with no steering issues. NO IMPACT had taken place in the time from garage cam video until vehicle was pulling into a parking space and steering was off for one tire. On November 15th 2025, while driving at highway speed in my lane, the vehicle’s lane assist system applied a sudden and unexpected steering input. I did not command a lane change or steering correction. The steering input caused the vehicle to become unstable, rotate, and spin across the roadway, resulting in a collision with the highway barrier. The contact owns a 2020 BMW 330i. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the starter made an abnormal, grinding metal-like sound. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the starter had failed. The left hydraulic engine motor mount (P/N 22117581621) completely collapsed and failed at 6 years and only 24,811 miles. The right mount was also replaced at the same time (P/N 22117581622). The failure allows unsafe, excessive engine movement and shifting under rotational torque loads. The contact owns a 2020 BMW 330I. The contact stated while his wife was pulling into the yard, the engine overheated and the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the message "Engine Compartment Overheating" was displayed. The Active Grille Shutter (AGS) system on my vehicle suffered an internal mechanical failure (fault codes 138206 and 138224). These shutters are a critical part of the engine cooling system. Failure of the AGS to operate correctly leads to immediate engine overheating risks, potential sudden loss of power (Limp Mode) in high-speed traffic, and thermal damage to engine components, posing a severe safety hazard. MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY. PRIOR TO PARKING, I HAD FOLLOWED THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO HAVE MY CAR MEMORIZE THE LAST 100 FEET DRIVEN IN ORDER TO USE THE BACKUP ASSIST FEATURE.
