2006 VOLVO TRACTOR WITH UNSAFE TOP STEP CONNECTED TO THE BATTERY CASE. CUSTOMER STATES HE WAS INJURED DUE TO THIS POOR BUILDING OF THE STEPS. HE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THE STEP IS ONLY CONNECTED TO THE BATTERY CASE. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED THE ONLY THING THAT HELD THE STEPS TOGETHER WERE TWO LARGE PIECES OF RUBBER. THE CONSUMER STATED THE STEPS NEED TO BE SECURED PROPERLY. *JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 VOLVO VNM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL SPUN OUT OF CONTROL INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING SHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 312,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 330,000.

THE FOLLOWING COMPLAINT IS REGARDING A 2008 VOLVO TRUCK (MODEL VNM 200, 2 AXLE DAYCAB). I WAS DRIVING THIS MODEL OF TRUCK PULLING TWO TRAILERS AT THE TIME OF MY CRASH. THIS VEHICLE SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT FRONT-END DAMAGE. HOWEVER, THE AIRBAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THIS ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON INTERSTATE 15 NEAR EXIT 36 IN UTAH. I WAS TRAVELING SOUTHBOUND AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH WHEN I COLLIDED WITH A BOULDER. THE IMPACT WITH THE BOULDER WAS NEAR THE FRONT RIGHT CORNER OF THE BUMPER, ALSO STRIKING THE RIGHT STEER TIRE AND HITTING VARIOUS OTHER PART…

MY VOLVO VNM TRACTOR TRUCK HAS AN OIL PRESSURE SENSOR FAULT. I WAS NEARLY REAR ENDED GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 60MPH BECAUSE THE TRUCK' COMPUTER DECIDED IT NEED TO STOP THE TRUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE TRUCK'S COMPUTER GOES INTO "LIMP MODE". THE TRUCK SHUTS OFF FUEL AND DOES NOT ALLOW THE DRIVER TO SAFELY TRAVEL DOWN THE ROAD. ANY SENSOR FAULT SHOULD NOT TELL THE TRUCK'S COMPUTER TO RANDOMLY TURN THE TRUCK OFF AND CUT FUEL.
