Owner report 10281105 · 2009-08-19 (August 19, 2009)
VOLVO XC 70 2001. WOULD JUST DISENGAGE AS IN NEUTRAL, ENGINE WOULD ROAR. VOLVO DEALER ADVISED TO GET TO A LOCAL MECHANIC SINCE I'M 90 MILES AWAY FROM DEALERSHIP. MECHANIC SAID TRANSMISSION FLUID COMPLETELY BURNT UP, CHANGED. TOOK TO VOLVO 8/8/09, CHECKED IT OUT, EVERYTHING WAS FINE. OFFERED A SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR $72. 8/10/09 DID THE SAME THING, LOCAL MECHANIC SAID BURNT WORSE THAN THE FIRST AND CHANGED AGAIN. DRIVING BACK TO FT. COLLINS, STALLED ON THE INTERSTATE, HAD TO CALL A TOW TRACK. UPON INVESTIGATION THERE ARE TONS OF POSTS ON…

Owner report 10463134 · 2012-06-26 (June 26, 2012)
I CAME TO A STOP IN HEAVY INTERSTATE TRAFFIC (35E NORTH IN ST. PAUL). JUST AS THE CAR WAS ALMOST STOPPED, IT REVVED-UP/SURGED FORWARD. I WAS AFRAID THAT THE BRAKE WOULD NOT HOLD AND WE WOULD HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF US. THREE YOUNG GIRLS WERE IN THE CAR WITH ME. THE CAR HAS BEEN CLUNKING INTO GEAR AT LOW SPEEDS LATELY, HESITATING FROM A COLD START, ALMOST CUTTING OUT WHEN IDLING AT STOP LIGHTS AND THEN REVVING UP ONLY TO START THE CYCLE OVER AGAIN. NONE OF THIS HAPPENS AT HIGHER SPEEDS. ALSO TODAY, WHEN I PUT IT INTO DRIVE, IT SURGED FORWA…
