I PURCHASED MY 2000 V92C USED. IT HAD 7500 MILES ON IT. AFTER PUTTING ON 2200 MILES THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO ACT UP. IT WOULD KICK DOWN FROM THIRD TO SECOND SURPRISING THE HELL OUT OF ME! TO KEEP THIS FROM OCCURRING I TYPICALLY ATTEMPTED TO KEEP MY TOES UNDERNEATH THE SHIFTER THUS, KEEPING THE TRANS FROM KICKING DOWN TO 2ND GEAR. ON RARE OCCASIONS THE TRANS WOULD KICK DOWN TO 3RD FROM 4TH. ON ONLY ONE OCCASION HAVE I HAD THE TRANS SLIP FROM 4TH TO 2ND. THIS HAPPENED IN TRAFFIC AND SCARED THE LADY BEHIND ME QUITE ABIT.I NOTIFIED MY DEALER ABOUT…

I OWN A VICTORY POLARIS 2000 V92C SE. MY TRANSMISSION FAILED AND IT APPEARS THAT THERE IS A LONG HISTORY OF TRANSMISSION FAILURES AND DEATHS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FAILURE. I ONLY HAD 6,000 MILES ON THE TRANSMISSION WHEN IT FAILED IN 4TH GEAR WITH SEVERAL DROPS, SKIPPING AND FALSE NEUTRALS. BOB YOUNG OF THE NHTS LOOKED AT MY BIKE WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS OPENED UP AND TOOK PICTURES OF THE FAILED PARTS. I HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED BUT I AM OUT OVER $2000.
