AT 12,000 MILES TRANSMISSION JAMMED WHILE DOWNSHIFTING. A LOUD BANG AND IT SHIFTED OK, BUT MADE NOISE. TO DEALER 8/06 WHO PERFORMED TEAR DOWN. FOUND SYNCRO DOGS BROKEN OFF SECOND GEAR, THE BROKEN PARTS DESTROYED 3RD 4TH & MAIN SHAFT. POLARIS DENIED ANY ISSUES WITH THE BIKES & REFUSED GOODWILL ASSISTANCE. PAID $2400.00 FOR REPAIR. WHILE SEARCHING INTERNET...(THEVMC.COM) FOUND THERE WERE OTHER ISSUES WITH THIS TRANSMISSION & ONE CASE OF A LOCKED TRANS AT 30 MPH. *JB

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH DURING EVENING HOURS, THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC EXAMINED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE IN THE FUSE CIRCUIT WHICH WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE REPLACEMENT, THE PROBLEM RECURRED 3 TIMES. THE SERVICE DEALER WAS ALERTED WHO COULD NOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURE WAS NOT CONTACTED. MANUFACTURER:URAL/YR:2006/MAKE:URAL/MODEL:SIDE
