I pulled onto a main road through a busy intersection and shifted through the gears under normal load. Upon shifting from 4th into 5th gear one of the C clips failed causing devastating damage to the transmission gears. The bike jerked and locked up for a moment but I was able to keep it under control and slow down to a stop. There was no warning or symptoms up to this point. ENGINE STALLING AFTER DECELERATION AND RE-ACCELERATING CAUSING WHEEL LOCK UP. ALSO AFTER IDLING AT STOP LIGHTS, IT STALLS UPON ACCELERATING CAUSING AN ABRUPT STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED SPORADICALLY MANY TIMES SINCE PURCHASE IN 2015. MANY WEB BASED FORUMS HAVE DISCUSSED THIS ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN RIDING MOTORCYCLE FOR 50 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS CONDITION.
