Owner report 10535036 ยท 2013-08-13 (August 13, 2013)
WHILE GETTING MY MOTORCYCLE SERVICED AT THE YAMAHA DEALER, THE MECHANIC NOTIFIED ME THAT MY REAR SHOCK ABSORBER HAD BLOWN A SEAL AND MUST BE REPLACED. THE ENTIRE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY HAS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO YOU CAN NOT BUY A REBUILD KIT. APPARENTLY THIS HAPPENS A LOT TO THIS MODEL MOTORCYCLE. UNTIL YOU REPLACE THE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER, THE MOTORCYCLE DOESN'T HANDLE VERY WELL IN TURNS, IT IS VERY UNSTABLE TO DRIVE. AND THIS PART IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. *TR
