Owner report 11005496 · 2017-07-15 (July 15, 2017)

SPEEDOMETER IS NOT VISIBLE IN DAYLIGHT. IF AN ENGINE OR OIL PRESSURE WARNING ALARM IS ACTIVE, IT WOULD NOT ALERT THE RIDER, ME, AND CATASTROPHIC FAILURE COULD OCCUR OR EVEN DEATH, INCLUDING TO OTHER MOTORISTS, PEDESTRIANS AND PROPERTY AROUND ME.

Owner report 11056277 · 2017-12-24 (December 24, 2017)

LCD SPEEDOMETER VIRTUALLY UNREADABLE IN DAYLIGHT UNLESS THE SUN IS ILLUMINATING THE FACE OF THE GAUGE. HEADING TOWARD THE SUN, THE SHADOW THROWN ON THE FACE OF THE GAUGE MAKES THE SPEED READ-OUT UNDECIPHERABLE. THE ENTIRE GAUGE FACE APPEARS UNIFORMLY BLACK. UNDER UNIFORM ILLUMINATION, OR WHEN THE SUN IS AT THE RIDER'S BACK, THE GAUGE IS READABLE. DOES NOT MATTER IF VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR NOT, OR WHETHER IN THE CITY OR ON THE HIGHWAY, IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE AMOUNT OF OUTSIDE ILLUMINATION. AT NIGHT THE BACK-LIGHTING OF THE GAUGE IS SUFFICIENT TO …

Owner report 11140367 · 2018-10-15 (October 15, 2018)

THE STEERING HAS A SPEED/DEATH WOBBLE AROUND 40 ' 50 MILES PER HOUR. IT IS MOST PRESENT WHEN DECELERATING THROUGH THAT SPEED. IT CAN BE FELT WITH TWO HANDS ON THE HANDLE BARS AND CAN CREATE AN UNSAFE CONDITION ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING AT THESE SPEEDS. THE DEALER INDICATED THIS WAS COMMON ISSUE WITH THE MOTORCYCLE, BUT DIDN'T HAVE A FIX AND I SHOULD CHECK THE ONLINE FORUMS FOR A FIX. I DID END UP REPLACING THE STEERING HEAD BALL BEARINGS WITH A TAPER BEARING DESIGN AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS THE FIX MOST FORUMS INDICATED.…
