CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO SAFETY RECALL OF WORKHORSE CUSTOM CHASSIS DUE TO BOSH BRAKE FAILURE *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED HE EXPERIENCED BRAKE FAILURE DUE TO OVERHEATED BRAKES THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR SAFETY REASONS. HOWEVER, HE WAS INFORMED HIS RV WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2002 DAMON DAYBREAK RV WITH A 2002 WORKHORSE P30 CHASSIS. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH AND NOTICED A BURNING ODOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHERE THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THAT THE BRAKE FLUID WAS BOILING AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. AFTER THE BRAKE FLUID WAS REPLACED, THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME SPONGE-LIKE WHEN DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN THEN ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE BRAKES AND CALIPERS WOULD HAVE TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS …

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 WORKHORSE P30 RECREATIONAL VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE RACKING ABILITY SEIZED, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TRAVELED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOORBOARD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FOLLOWING MORNING EVERYTHING WAS BACK TO NORMAL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE.
