TREAD SEPARATION ON CARLISLE TRAILER TIRES. SIZE ST175/80R-13, LOAD RANGE C. BOTH TIRES PURCHASED 06/20/2002. FIRST TIRE FAILED 08/21/2005 WHILE TRAVEL 65 MPH ON I-16 SOUTH OF MACON GA. SECOND FAILURE OCCURRED 10/10/2005 ON I-95 SOUTH OF JACKSONVILLE FL. TRAVELING 65 MPH. TIRES GAVE LITTLE TO NO WARNING PRIOR TO TOTAL TREAD SEPARATION, SECOND INCIDENT DAMAGED FENDER ON RIGHT SIDE OF TRAILER. DOT NUMBERS: DBJUH1Z1502 LOAD RANGE C, 1360 LBS RATING, GVW OF TRAILER IS 2350 WITH APPROX. 10% OF LOAD ON TRAILER HITCH. *NM

CERTAIN POP-UP CAMPERS EQUIPPED WITH NORCOLD REFRIGERATOR COOLING UNITS MODEL NUMBERS 442, 443, 452, EV452, 453, 462, EV462, 463, EV463, 482, EV482, 483, EV483, 874, AND 875 MANUFACTURED BETWEEN JANUARY 1987 AND MAY 1995. THESE REFRIGERATORS CAN EXPERIENCE A BREAK DOWN IN A RUBBER SEAL WITHIN THE GAS VALVE. AS THE RUBBER SEAL AGES, A LEAK MAY OCCUR, ALLOWING PROPANE GAS TO ACCUMULATE IN THE BURNER AREA.
Consequence: THE CONSEQUENCE CAN RESULT IN A FIRE, POSSIBLY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
Remedy: NORCOLD WILL NOTIFY ITS CUSTOMERS AND PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT GAS VALVE FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT NORCOLD SERVICE CENTER AT 1-800-667-3005.
