THE FRONT FENDER ON THIS MOTORCYCLE IS 2 PIECE. THE FRONT SECTION IS STAMPED STEEL AND THE REAR SECTION IS PLASTIC. THE PLASTIC REAR SECTION IS MOUNTED TO THE FORKS WITH 2 HEX HEAD BOLTS. THE PLASTIC FENDER CRACKS AT THE BOLT ATTACHMENT POINTS CAUSING THE REAR FENDER SECTION TO COME LOOSE AND JAM INTO THE FRONT FAIRING OPENING. WHEN THIS HAPPENS ALL STEERING CONTROL IS LOST. THIS IS BECOMING A COMMON PROBLEM ON THESE VEHICLES ONCE THEY GET APPROX. 2 YEARS OLD AND OLDER. *TR

REMEMBERING THE ODD SOUND FROM AN EARLIER RIDE I CHECKED MY BIKE AND FOUND MY FRONT FENDER (REAR SECTION) HAD CRACKED AND WAS LOOSE. MY ASSUMPTION IS THAT THE SOUND I HEARD WAS THE PL…
