TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TRIUMPH ROCKET III CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH THE MOTORCYCLE STARTING MAKING A NOISE THAT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE REAR DRIVE. THE CONTACT STATED HE CALLED THE DEALER AND HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE MOTORCYCLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY BUT THE MANUFACTURER AGREED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER ORDERED THE PART TO REPLACE THE REAR DRIVE AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN ON MARCH 30, 2010, THE DEALER REPLACED THE REAR DRIVE. THIS DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND THE DEALER INSTALLED A UPGRADE KIT.…

Reported: 2007-09-26 (September 26, 2007)
ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, WHEN THE ENGINE IS RETURNING TO IDLE IT MAY STALL.
Consequence: IF THE MOTORCYCLE STALLS, THE RIDER WILL HAVE TO RESTART THE ENGINE INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND DOWNLOAD NEW ENGINE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 17, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TRIUMPH AT 678-854-2010.
