Owner report 11460072 · 2022-04-07 (April 7, 2022)

The contact owns a 2021 Toyota Supra. The contact stated while driving at 40-45 MPH and approaching a stopped vehicle, he decelerated to 20 MPH and continued to slightly depress the brake pedal; however, the anti-lock braking system engaged inadvertently and the vehicle failed to decelerate as needed and started skidding. The contact depressed the brake pedal harder but it failed to operate as needed and the vehicle operated as if he was depressing the accelerator pedal at the same time. The vehicle crashed into the rear end of the vehicle in f…

Owner report 11489558 · 2022-10-17 (October 17, 2022)

After a cold start, the vehicle will have sluggish/hesitant acceleration from a dead stop initially while trying to pull out of an intersection after the brakes have been applied. This has occurred several times and other owners have reported similar issues. Additionally, under rare situations the vehicle will shift into neutral and shut off when encountering this problem (other owners have also reported a similar problem).

Owner report 11490226 · 2022-10-20 (October 20, 2022)

I own a new 2021 Toyota Supra and along with other owners of this new model, there is a safety issue that has been identified. There is a repeating issue with unresponsive/unpredictable throttle behavior for me and other Toyota Supra owners. It only happens on a cold start, when going in reverse on a slope (exiting the garage) and when traction control gets engaged (the wheel gets in the air for a second due to the curb/slope). After this maneuver either the engine gets stalled or the throttle starts to behave unpredictably. Specifically about…

Owner report 11525442 · 2023-06-05 (June 5, 2023)

I am not sure what components or systems failed or malfunctioned. I just know that randomly when I am at a complete stop and proceed to try to go onto oncoming traffic, the vehicle hesitates as if it is about to die out and then moves at a crawl for roughly 3-4 seconds and then kicks in and accelerates back to normal. I have taken the vehicle to be serviced 4 times but nothing has being resolved. Service department at the dealer says they can't find anything wrong. The last time I took it to the dealer they kept the vehicle for about 5 days to …

5 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

20V700000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Storage:Tank Assembly

Reported: 2020-11-12 (November 12, 2020)

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Z4 and 2020-2021 Toyota Supra vehicles. The weld between the fuel tank halves may have been insufficiently welded, causing the weld to fail.
