Few days ago I was driving in the rain . suddenly i heard a scratching noise > i stopped the vehicle and looked underneath i saw a plastic sheet hanging . this happened while driving on the flash of water and due to impact of water because toyota used a very cheap quality sheet underneath for protection with plastic bolts . i took the vehicle to the dealer ship and they refuse to fix it under warranty stating that it happened due to impact which is not covered. the cost is $550 to fix it. this all happened due to cheap quality plastic sheet a…

On two occasions in the last month, when attempting to start the car, it doesn’t start, the interior dash lights start flickering, and a notification displays stating, “Parking brake cannot be applied”. I then have to “jump” the 12-volt battery. The main issue is the notification stating the parking brake cannot be applied because before shutting off the car the night before, I make sure the parking brake IS applied. The contact owns a 2024 Toyota BZ4X. The contact stated that the battery failed to retain a charge, resulting in the doors not unlocking as needed. The contact stated that the dealer had previously replaced the battery, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, who determined that the battery had failed again. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,389.

2024 BZ4x, 590 miles on ODO. Purchased the car on Sunday, 03/23/2025. Monday Morning - Turning on the Car (In my garage). I had it in "ready" while I tried to connect my Toyota app to the car, While talking to Toyota engagement for help.. (Never was able to change the primary driver on it.) The accessory lights flickered and a bell went on and off. Then the car went totally black. Toyota called a tow truck driver. He jumped the 12 volt. The air conditioner/heat pump has went out twice in 5 months. AC compressor failure poses several safety risks, including the potential for fires, refrigerant leaks leading to health hazards, and increased humidity fostering mold and mildew growth, which can worsen indoor air quality and lead to respiratory issues. Causing concern of leaking refrigerant into the cabin of the vehicle could lead to cancer and death.

Gulf States Toyota, Inc. (GST) is recalling certain Toyota 2023 GR Supra, 2024 4 Runner, Corolla, Grand Highlander, Grand Highlander Hybrid, Land Cruiser Hybrid, Tacoma, Tacoma Hybrid, 2023-2024 BZ4X, Corolla Cross Hybrid, GR Corolla, GR86, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, Prius, Prius Prime, Sequoia Hybrid, Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, Venza Hybrid, 2023-2025 Crown, and 2025 Camry Hybrid vehicles equipped with GST accessories. The load carrying capacity modification label may display inaccurate added weight values. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Consequence: A vehicle with an incorrect maximum capacity weight value may be overloaded, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: GST will mail new labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 16, 2024. Owners may contact GST customer service at 1-800-444-1074. GST's number for this recall is 24R2.

Reported: 2025-09-04 (September 4, 2025)
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023-2025 bZ4X, Lexus RZ, and Subaru Solterra vehicles. During certain HVAC system faults, such as electrical compressor failure, the defroster and defogger system may become inoperative.
Consequence: An inoperative defroster and defogger system can decrease the driver's visibility under certain driving conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the HVAC control ECU software, free of charge. Dealers will also inspect the electrical compressor, and replace it, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 17, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB07 and 25TA07. Lexus' numbers for this recall are 25LB04 and 25LA04. Subaru's number for this recall is WRD-25.

Reported: 2025-10-30 (October 30, 2025)
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. A software error may cause the rearview camera to freeze or display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview camera that fails to display an image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the parking assist software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 2, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB13 and 25LB06. Subaru's number for this recall is WRE25.
