I bought my Tiffin Open Trail in Nov. 2025. The vehicle pitched, rolled and swayed so badly it could be hard to control going over a speed bump. I decided to upgrade the suspension. I went to Owl Vans in Austin, Texas on March 9, 2026. I stayed a hotel while the work was performed. I received a phone call from Owl the night of March 9th, because they found the inside dually tire had been rubbing on the frame underneath the entire time, with tire failure immenint. Reported: 2025-11-19 (November 19, 2025)
Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2026 Open Trail motorhomes. The Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) label may have the incorrect cargo carrying capacity information, which can result in an overloaded vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, “Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars.”
Consequence: An overloaded vehicle can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Tiffin will mail corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 4, 2025. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is WAY-105. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 16, 2026.

Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Open Trail motorhomes equipped with an optional diesel or propane generator. The wiring harness may contain incorrectly sized wires.
Consequence: An undersized wire can overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the wiring harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 12, 2026. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Open Trail, Wayfarer, and 2026 Midas recreational vehicles. The Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label may have been incorrectly printed on a white label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars."
Consequence: The incorrect label color may make it difficult for the operator to locate the loading or tire pressure information, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2026. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is WAY-107.

Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Zephyr, Wayfarer, Phaeton, Open Trail, GT1, Allegro Red, Allegro Open Road, Allegro Bus, Allegro Bay, 2026 Midas, Byway, and Allegro Breeze recreational vehicles, equipped with certain MaxxAir N-Series Maxxfan rooftop ventilation fans. The printed circuit board may fail during certain operations and overheat.
Consequence: An overheated printed circuit board increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the circuit board, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 26, 2026. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661.
