The contact owns a 2021 Thor Motor Coach Vegas Motorhome. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 63 MPH, the electric shade on the driver’s side front detached and fell off the motorhome. The contact had to hold the electric shade up until they were able to pull over at a gas station. The plastic clips that held the electric shade were fractured. The contact unclipped the electric shade and later attached it with zip ties to secure it in place. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the fai…

21V441000 · Structure:Frame And Members:Underbody Shields | Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer:Lpg Systems:Tank Assembly

Reported: 2021-06-10 (June 10, 2021)

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Axis 25.6 and 2018-2021 Vegas 25.6 motorhomes. The heat shield between the LP tank and chassis muffler was not installed.

Consequence: A missing heat shield increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will install a heat shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 22, 2021. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000228.
