THE SCOOTER WAS BEING DRIVEN STRAIGHT AHEAD ON A LEVEL, SMOOTH CITY STREET. THE DRIVER APPROXIMATED HIS SPEED AT 5 - 10 MPH. THE STEERING COLUMN SNAPPED CLEANLY WITHOUT WARNING, THUS COMPLETELY RELEASING THE ENTIRE FRONT WHEEL ASSEMBLY FROM THE SCOOTER. THERE WAS NO PRIOR INDICATION OF WEAKNESS OR DEFECT, AND NO RUST OR OTHER INDICATION OF WEAR IS VISIBLE AT THE BREAK. DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY, THE POLICE HAVE NOT POSTED THEIR REPORT TO BUYCRASH.COM AS YET. NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE INVOLVED. THE DRIVER WAS TAKEN TO THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT BY …
