Owner report 10189080 · 2007-04-27 (April 27, 2007)

THE SCREW HOLDING ON THE HORN ASSEMBLY FOR THE 2006 SV650S IS NOT A CORRECT LENGTH TO HOLD UP TO THE AMOUNT OF VIBRATION IT IS EXPOSED TO. MY SCREW FELL OUT AFTER THE LAST MAINTENANCE SERVICE AND SWUNG BACK UP ENOUGH TO POKE A HOLE THROUGH MY RADIATOR. THE SCREW ASSEMBLY ITSELF IS TIGHTENED INTO A WELDED, LOCKING NUT BUT DOES NOT HOLD UP. *JB

1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

06V013000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Storage:Tank Assembly

Reported: 2006-01-18 (January 18, 2006)

ON CERTAIN CALIFORNIA-SPECIFICATION MODEL MOTORCYCLES, REPEATED STRESS FROM VIBRATION CAN CAUSE A CRACK TO FORM IN THE AREA WHERE THE LIQUID/VAPOR SEPARATOR BRACKET IS WELDED INSIDE THE FUEL TANK. THIS CAN ALLOW FUEL LEAKAGE TO OCCUR.

Consequence: FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE CAN RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL TANK FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 3, 2006. CUSTOMERS MAY CONTACT AMERICAN SUZUKI AT 714-572-1490.
