SEVERAL OWNERS OF THE SUZUKI 1500LC MOTORCYCLE, INCLUDING MYSELF, HAVE EXPERIENCED A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION THAT SLIPS OUT OF GEAR INTO A NEUTRAL POSITION. SUZUKI HAS YET TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM OR ISSUE A RECALL. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS FLAW THAT WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. *NLM

2000 SUZUKI INTRUDER LC1500 MOTORCYCLE, FALSE NEUTRAL BETWEEN 4TH AND 5TH. SLIPS OUT OF GEAR UNDER LOAD. PROBLEM SINCE NEW. DEALER SAYS IT HAPPENS WITH THESE BIKES BUT NOTHING THEY CAN DO TILL IT BREAKS ALL TOGETHER. I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY LEFT BUT DO NOT WANT TO WAIT TILL IT RUNS OUT TO FIX. *NLM

2000 SUZUKI VL1500LC MOTORCYCLE. PURCHASED NEW ON 10.31.2000. TRANSMISSION JUMPS OUT OF GEAR BETWEEN 4TH AND 5TH. BRAKING SYSTEMS INADEQUATE. SUZUKI REALIZED THE PROBLEM AND CHANGED THE ENTIRE BRAKING SYSTEMS ON THE 2002 MODEL, BUT OFFERED NO RELIEF FOR EARLIER MODELS. CONTINUED PROBLEMS OF THIS TYPE COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENT OR FATALITY. *JB

DT: WHEN DOWN SHIFTING OR COMING TO STOP THE MOTORCYCLE STALLED, AND CONSUMER HEARD A THUMP JUST BEFORE IT DIED. WHEN THIS HAPPENED THE REAR WHEEL LOCKED UP EVEN THOUGH WAS HOLDING THE CLUTCH IN.
