Owner report 10262919 · 2009-03-24 (March 24, 2009)
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 STARCRAFT STARSTREAM 24 QB TRAILER. THIS IS AN RV TRAILER THAT HOOKS TO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AXLE WHERE THE TIRES ARE LOCATED IS GRINDING OFF THE RUBBER. AS A RESULT, HE MUST REPLACE THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE AND THE OTHERS NEED REPLACING AS WELL. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE AXLE WAS MADE BY LIPPER AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH LIPPER TO INVESTIGATE THE ISSUE. HE TOOK THE TRAILER TO LIPPER, BUT THEY FOUND NO FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT APPLICABLE.

IN MY OPINION THE FAULT LIES WITH STARCRAFT FOR INSTALLING THESE DEFECTIVE TIRES ON A NEW TRAILER. I BELIEVE THAT T…
