TL*- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 STARCRAFT ST 2700BH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TIRES ON THE TRAILER HAD DRY ROT, AND CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS ONLY 300. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER, AND E-MAILED THEM PICTURES OF THE TIRES, BUT THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED. THE TRAILER HAS BEEN KEPT INDOORS, AND THE SPARE TIRE WHICH HAD NEVER BEEN USED, HAD DRY ROT AS WELL. THE TRAILER WAS EQUIPPED WITH POWER KING TOWMAX TIRES. *AK

06V062000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery:Fuel Pump

Reported: 2006-03-03 (March 3, 2006)

ON CERTAIN TRAVEL TRAILERS BUILT WITH THE OPTIONAL FUEL STATION AND EQUIPPED WITH A GREAT PLAINS FUEL PUMP, THE FUEL PUMP CAN LEAK FUEL.

Consequence: FUEL LEAKAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PUMPS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 27, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT STARCRAFT AT 260-593-2550.
