The contact owns a 2023 StarCraft RV Super Lite Maxx travel trailer. The contact stated that while towing the camper and driving 10 MPH, the freshwater tank underneath the trailer suddenly detached and fell onto the roadway. The water tank measures approximately 5 feet in length and weighed approximately 500 pounds when filled with water. The tank remained attached to the hoses and was not damaged. Reported: 2023-08-03 (August 3, 2023)
Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling certain 2023 Super Lite Maxx travel trailers. The trailers may have been manufactured without a secondary emergency exit window.
Consequence: The lack of a secondary escape exit can prevent or delay occupants from exiting, increasing their risk of injury during an emergency.
Remedy: Dealer will inspect and install an emergency egress window, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 5, 2023. Owners may contact Starcraft customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Starcraft's number for this recall is 9902590.
