TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 SCION XD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKED, THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS A WIRE SHORTAGE IN THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE LIGHT. A POLICE/FIRE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 999.

On 6/27/2025 my car, 2014 Scion Xd, was serviced at Lee Toyota of Topsham, ME for brakes, tire rotation, recommended oil pan reseal. Who was driving? I had just traded cars with my daughter so I could babysit my triplet [XXX] grandchildren. I drove my 2014 Scion Xd without any issues for 3 hours (from [XXX] to the border of [XXX] ). I traded cars with my daughter, mother of triplets, and she drove off with her husband to attend a reunion. I had just traded cars with my daughter so I could babysit my triplet 14 month old grandchildren. I drove my 2014 Scion Xd without any issues for 3 hours (from Bath, Maine to the border of Vermont). I traded cars with my daughter, mother of triplets, and she drove off with her husband to attend a reunion.
