On the weekend of May 23-24, 2026, on the first and only trip taken in this new 2026 Renegade Classic 43CMD Super C motorhome (coach built by Renegade RV of Elkhart, IN, on a Freightliner chassis; production no. K01-4121), the Firefly multiplex control system failed and blacked out, disabling operation of the coach including the air conditioning while parked in approximately 100-degree desert heat. Reported: 2026-09-04 (September 4, 2026)
Kibbi, LLC (Kibbi) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Renegade Valencia, Verona, Vera Cruz, Vienna, Villagio, Verona LE, XL, Garage, Totter, Explorer TS, Explorer, and Classic recreational vehicles equipped with MaxxAir N-Series Maxxfan rooftop ventilation fans. The printed circuit board may fail during certain operations and overheat.
Consequence: An overheated printed circuit board increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the printed circuit board as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 19, 2026. Owners may contact Airxcel’s customer service at 574-247-9235 or oemform@airxcel.com or Kibbi's customer service at 1-574-966-0196.
