TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 PORSCHE CARRERA 996. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT WOULD HEAR A NOISE FROM THE IDUAL ROW IMS BEARING. THE NOISE WOULD BECOME LOUDER WHEN THE PART WAS COLD BUT AS IT HEATED AND BECAME LUBRICATED, THE NOISE WOULD CEASE. THE CONTACT LOCATED VIA THE INTERNET THAT ONCE THE NOISE BEGAN, THEN THE BEARING WOULD FAIL AND THE ENGINE WOULD SEIZE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
