I BOUGHT A NEW BONNEVILLE SSEI LAST YEAR AND HAVE HAD CONSTANT BRAKE PROBLEMS SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH THE FRONT END WHICH INCLUDED THE STEERING AND THE BRAKES. I'VE HAD THREE STEERING SENSORS AND ONE POWER STEERING BOX REPLACED AND IT IS STILL CLUNKING. I HAVE HAD ALL FOUR ROTORS CUT, ALL FOUR ROTORS REPLACED AND TWO COMPLETE SETS OF BRAKES PUT ON THE CAR AND I HAD MY CAR INSPECTED TODAY AND I WAS TOLD I NEED ANOTHER SET OF NEW BRAKES. THE INTAKE COVER IS MADE OF PLASTIC, ANTIFREEZE AND PLASTIC DO NOT MAKE A GOOD COMBINATION. THIS HAS CAUSED LEAKING IN THE INTAKE AND COST ME OVER $600 FOR REPAIRS. THE THING IS THE MECHANIC KNEW THE PROBLEM AS SOON AS WE RAISED THE HOOD BECAUSE HE HAD SEEN IT SO MANY TIMES IN THIS MODEL. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A MANUFACTURER PROBLEM AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT IT.

THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THE TRANSMITION, WHEN THE CAR IS IN PARK AND WANT TO SHIFT TO REVERSE THE CAR DOES NOT MOVE AND FEELS LIKE IT IS IN NEUTRAL POSITION. THIS PROBLEM WAS MORE NOTICABLE IN MORNINGS WHEN THE WEATHER IS COLD. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. I THINK THERE IS A LOT WRONG WITH IT.

THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE HAS PAINT BUBBLING AT THE FRONT PEAK. THIS IS AN ALUMINUM HOOD AND THE BUBBLING IS A RESULT OF OXIDATION WHICH, ACCORDING TO THE LOCAL SERVICE MANAGER, IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. THE FACTORY ZONE REPRESENTATIVE DECLINED TO FIX THE PROBLEM, EVEN THOUGH THE MANAGER SAID THERE WAS A FIX FOR IT NOW, DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE CAR IS OUTSIDE OF THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY. AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON IN 2001 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE. DEALER DIAGNOSTICS DETERMINES DEFECTIVE CLOCK SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT WITHOUT REPLACEMENT OF THE PART. CAR IS 4,800 MILES OVER WARRANTY AND DEALER EXPECTS US TO PAY FOR REPAIR. PONTIAC CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFERED 50% REIMBURSEMENT.
