SATURDAY, SEPT. 18, 2004 WHILE RIDING IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN MY 2000 V92C POLARIS VICTORY DOWNSHIFTED FROM 3RG GEAR TO 2ND GEAR WITHOUT ANY INPUT FROM ME. THIS PROBLEM WITH THE EARLY (1999-2000) BIKES HAS BEEN TALKED ABOUT ON MANY WEBSITES ON THE INTERNET AND POLARIS IS WELL AWARE OF IT. POLARIS HAS EVEDENTALLY UPGRADED SOME OWNERS MOTORCYCLES WITH PARTS AT NO CHARGE. THE COST ABOR FOR THIS UPGRADE HAS NOT BEEN COVERED. POLARIS SHOULD ISSUE A VOLUNTARY RECALL ON ALL MODELS AFFECTED.*AK
