A LOUD NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE DRIVING, THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. THE DRIVER NOTICED THAT FLUID STARTED LEAKING FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO THE DEALER. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE STEERING WHEEL CLAMP NEEDED REPLACEMENT. PLEASE FILL IN ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *NM

THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING VAN, SOMETIMES IT STAYS ON FOR A LONG TIME OR OTHER TIMES ITS ONLY ON FOR A SHORT TIME AND THEN GOES OFF. EACH TIME IT GOES ON YOU HEAR A WARNING CHIME. MY SEARCH OF THE INTERNET FOR THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM SHOWS A RECALL ON THE 1998-2000 VANS FOR A CLOCKSPRING REPAIR. I HAVE ALSO READ THAT WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON, THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY. I HAVE NOT CONFIRMED THIS THROUGH A DEALER.
