The contact owns a 2024 PJ Trailer LD. The contact stated while hauling the trailer and depressing the brake pedal, the trailer failed to respond as needed. The contact stated that the failure recurred intermittently. The trailer was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the axle and the brake assembly were installed backwards during the trailer manufacturing process. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. 23V319000 · Trailer Hitches
Reported: 2023-05-04 (May 4, 2023)
PJ Trailers is recalling certain 2022-2024 LD, LY, LX, LS, CC, DD, TJ, and TS trailers equipped with a Demco EZ Latch Gooseneck Coupler. The coupler mounting bolts may loosen and cause the coupler to separate from the inner tube.
Consequence: A coupler that separates can allow the trailer to disconnect from the tow vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the couplers, free of charge. Owner notification letter were mailed June 15, 2023. Owners may contact PJ Trailers customer service at 1-866-752-8781.

PJ Trailers is recalling certain 2024 B5, B6, B8, C8, CC, CE, D3, D5, D8, DD, DG, DL, DM, DR, DT, F8, FD, FY, L6, LD, LS, LX, LY, P8, PL, T1, T6, T7, T8, T9, TF, and TJ trailers. The sidewall of the tires may experience bubbling and separate, causing loss of tire pressure. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires-Other Than Passenger Cars."
Consequence: A loss of tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the tires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 08, 2024. Owners may contact PJ Trailers customer service at 1-866-752-8781.

PJ Trailers is recalling certain 2024-2025 LD trailers. The air ride suspension brake axles may be installed incorrectly, resulting in reduced braking ability.
Consequence: Reduced braking ability can increase the distance required to stop and the risk of a crash.
Remedy: PJ Trailers will inspect and replace the axles as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 26, 2024. Owners may contact PJ Trailers customer service at 1-903-669-0228.
