CONSOLE FRONT COMPARTMENT DOOR MAY NOT REMAIN CLOSED DURING LOAD FORCES THAT MAY BE EXPERIENCED IN A CRASH AS REQUIRED BY FMVSS 201.

Consequence: VEHICLES DO NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 201, OCCUPANTPROTECTION IN INTERIOR IMPACTS.

Remedy: INSTALL THREE (3) SMALL FOAM PADS ON THE CONSOLE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENING.

88V078000 · Steering:Hydraulic Power Assist:Pump

Reported: 1988-05-10 (May 10, 1988)

INSUFFICIENT CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE POWER STEERING PUMP PRESSURE HOSE ASSEMBLY AND THE TRANSMISSION GOVERNOR/SPEED SENSOR CONNECTOR COULD CAUSE ABRASION OF THE HOSE.

Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN A FLUID LEAK, WITH THE POTENTIAL FORAN UNDERHOOD FIRE.

Remedy: REPLACE THE POWER STEERING PUMP PRESSURE HOSE.
