TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NU-WA HITCH HIKER II LS SERIES TRAILER. THE REAR AXLE BROKE OFF OF THE TRAILER WHILE DRIVING. THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THE REAR AXLE IS 024059. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 55 MPH WHEN THE AXLE BROKE OFF OF THE VEHICLE. IT APPEARED AS IF THE AXLE BROKE AT A PORTION OF THE AXLE THAT HAD BEEN WELDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8000.

2006 NU WA HITCH HIKER II, LS FIFTH WHEEL CONCERNING THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM POWER CONVERTER. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED ONE EVENING WHILE PREPARING THE HIDE AWAY BED FOR SLEEPING, THEY SMELLED FUMES; LIKE BURNING PLASTIC AND BECAME CONCERNED ENOUGH TO OPEN THE DOOR FOR VENTILATION TO PREVENT SOMETHING SERIOUS FROM OCCURRING. IN CHECKING AROUND FOR WHERE THE ODOR WAS COMING FROM, THE CONSUMER AND HER HUSBAND DETERMINED THAT IT WAS COMING FROM THE INSIDE ELECTRICAL POWER CONVERTER. THE CONSUMER'S HUSBAND REMOVED THE COVER AND SAW THE INSIDE FAN MO…

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 NU WA HITCHHIKER II LS 5TH WHEEL TRAILER. THE CONTACT WAS PERFORMING REPAIRS ON THE VEHICLE AND DETECTED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD FAILED TO INSTALL SPECIFIC PARTS WITHIN THE SUSPENSION. THE BUSHINGS HAD NOT BEEN INSTALLED AND THE LEAF SPRINGS WERE DEFECTIVE. IN ADDITION, THE FRAME WAS BENT WITH THE SPRING HANGER MISALIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECTS WHICH OCCURRED AT THE TIME OF PRODUCTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. UPDATED 07/26/11*LJ UPDATED 3/15/12 *CN
