ON SUNDAY JANUARY 11TH, 2014, MY FAMILY AND I WERE ON OUR WAY HOME. AFTER STOPPING AT A SERVICE STATION MY HUSBAND PULLED ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND WAS ACCELERATING TO THE APPROPRIATE SPEED AND THE CAR JUST GOT STUCK AT 6500 RPM'S AND 60 MPH. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND UNTIL THE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED APPROXIMATELY HALF WAY. THE VEHICLE WOULD THEN RAPIDLY ACCELERATE FOR SIXTY SECONDS BEFORE RETURNING TO NORMAL FUNCTION. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE FUEL GAUGE AND ENGINE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE TECHNICIAN THEN TIGHTENED THE FUEL TANK CAP AND THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATOR WAS NO LONGER ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED TWO WEEKS AGO. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WOULD NOT RECLINE, AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HAD DISTORTED BOLTS AND THE WIRES THAT WERE UNDER THE FRONT EAT WERE NOT PLACED CORRECTLY. THESE WIRES WERE FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG THEREFORE; THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG WOULD NOT WORK IF AN ACCIDENT HAS OCCURRED.

ON MAY 10, 2014, I PARKED MY 2014 NISSAN ROGUE IN MY GARAGE. I PUT VEHICLE IN PARK AND GOT OUT WENT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE TO GET MY BAG ON PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WHEN THE CAR STARTED TO ROLL BACKWARDS. I RAN TO BACK OF CAR TO STOP IT. 2014 NISSAN ROGUE HAS A POSSIBLE IGNITION SWITCH ISSUE. WHEN VEHICLE IGNITION SWITCH IS SHUT-OFF, ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, RADIO, LIGHTS ETC., LOCKS FAIL TO EITHER SHUTDOWN COMPLETELY AND ELECTRIC LOCKS DISENGAGE. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 Rogue vehicles manufactured January 10, 2014, to January 17, 2014. In the affected vehicles, an incorrect bolt may have been used to connect the intermediate shaft to the upper steering assembly.
Consequence: The incorrect bolts could loosen and fall out resulting in a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners and, dealers will inspect and repair all affected vehicles, free of charge. The recall began on June 2, 2014. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 Pathfinder and Rogue vehicles and 2014 Infiniti QX60 vehicles. The right side wheels of the affected vehicles may have one lug nut each that was not properly tightened.
Consequence: If the lug nut becomes loose from not being properly tightened, it may fall off, allowing the other lug nuts to become loose, possibly resulting in a wheel separation, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and tighten any loose lug nuts to the correct specification, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin by the end of June 2014. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 vehicles manufactured August 14, 2014, to November 5, 2014, and 2014-2015 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured August 12, 2014, to November 15, 2014. During the assembly process, the front wheel hub assembly fasteners may not have been properly torqued.
Consequence: The under-torqued fasteners may result in a brake caliper separating from the wheel assembly causing a reduction in braking performance or reduced steering control. These conditions increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and tighten any loose bolts to the proper specification, free of charge. The recall began February 2, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured March 7, 2007, to November 26, 2013, and 2014 Nissan Rogue Select vehicles manufactured September 23, 2013, to July 2, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience an electrical short in the harness connector due to a mixture of snow/water and salt seeping through the carpet on the driver side floor near the harness connector.
Consequence: An electrical short can cause a vehicle fire.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the kick panel wiring harness connector and will if necessary install a new harness connector and waterproof seal, free of charge. The recall began on February 26, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured January 2, 2014, to June 4, 2014. Improper nickel plating of components within the fuel pump may result in the fuel pump failing.
Consequence: If the fuel pump fails, the vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began on May 26, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured July 25, 2013, to December 21, 2013, and February 1, 2014, to June 7, 2014. Improper nickel plating of components within the fuel pump may result in the fuel pump failing.
Consequence: If the fuel pump fails, the vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. Remedy parts are currently unavailable. Owners were sent interim notices on May 9, 2016. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available. The recall is expected to begin on May 9, 2016. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured July 31, 2013, to January 16, 2016. In the affected vehicles, the rear lift gate support stays may corrode due to insufficient anti-corrosion treatment.
Consequence: Corrosion of one or both of the rear lift gate support stays could cause a sudden release of pressure. If this occurs, the support stays may break off, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear tailgate stays, free of charge. The recall began on November 18, 2016. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Nissan Maxima, 2013-2016 Nissan Altima, NV200, LEAF, Sentra, and Pathfinder, 2014-2016 Nissan NV200 Taxi, Infiniti QX60, QX60 Hybrid, and Q50 Hybrid, 2014-2017 Nissan Rogue and Infiniti Q50, 2015-2016 Nissan Murano, Murano Hybrid, and Chevrolet City Express, 2014-2015 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid, and 2013 Infiniti JX35 vehicles. In these vehicles, the front seat passenger Occupant Classification System (OCS) may incorrectly classify an adult passenger as a child or classify the seat as empty despite it being occupied. As a result, the passenger frontal air bag may be turned off and not deploy in the event of a crash.
Consequence: If the passenger frontal air bag does not deploy as intended in the event of a crash, the passenger is at an increased risk of injury.
Remedy: Nissan will notify their owners. Chevrolet City Express owners will be notified by General Motors. Dealers will reprogram the Air Bag Control Unit (ACU) and OCS Electronic Control Unit (ECU) in Altima, Maxima, Murano, Rogue, and Sentra vehicles, and replace the OCS ECU in LEAF, NV200, NV200 Taxi, Pathfinder, Infiniti Q50, JX35, and QX60 and Chevrolet City Express vehicles, free of charge. Interim notices were sent to owners on May 31, 2016. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669, Infiniti customer service at 1-888-833-3216 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Rogue vehicles. The electrical connector for the under dash harness may corrode due to water and salt intrusion from the driver's side foot well.
Consequence: Corrosion in the electrical connector can result in power window/seat failure, all-wheel-drive warning light illumination, battery drainage, and electrical connector damage that increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will remove the harness tape and harness covering and replace both connectors and apply white lithium grease to the connectors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 23, 2022. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R21B9.

Reported: 2023-02-16 (February 16, 2023)
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Rogue and 2017-2022 Rogue Sport vehicles equipped with a jackknife style ignition key. The jackknife key may collapse into a folded position while driving.
Consequence: Driver contact with a key in the collapsed position could inadvertently shut off the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, if the vehicle shuts off while driving, the air bags may not deploy in a crash as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will insert a spacer into the key slot of the jackknife key, free of charge. Interim notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed March 29, 2023. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 30, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R22C5.
