The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that when the vehicle was shifted into park, the vehicle continued rolling forward. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the mechanic was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.

The contact stated that after driving over a pothole in the roadway while she was driving on a bridge, the failure almost caused the vehicle to crash into the side of the bridge. The contact stated while having a routine service check on the vehicle at the dealer, the mechanic became aware that the front passenger’s side headlight assembly was moist, and that water was entering the headlight assembly. The contact was informed that the headlight assembly needed to be replaced. The contact was referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired.
