PREVIOUS TO THIS DAY THIS TIRE SHOWED NO SIGN OF FAILURE. ON THIS DAY IT BEGAN TO FEEL A LITTLE BUMPY AND RAPIDLY DECLINED IN ITS PERFORMANCE. WHEN IT FAILED IT SHED 1/3 OF ITS TREAD BUT DID NOT BLOW OUT. IN ALL MY YEARS AND MANY TIRES THAT HAVE SEPARATED I NEVER HAVE HAD A TIRE LOSE ITS TREAD. PLUS THEY ALWAYS HAVE GRADUALLY SEPARATED WHICH GAVE ME TIME TO REPLACE THEM. ON THIS TRUCK I ALWAYS USE USED TIRES,AND THUS A LARGE NUMBER OF THEM RESULT IN SEPARATION AFTER A WHILE.
