Owner report 10783839 · 2015-10-20 (October 20, 2015)

THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR IS NOT SECURE AGAINST THE HEAD LINER WHEN IN THE UP POSITION. ON UNEVEN PAVEMENT, THE VISOR MOVES QUITE A BIT. IT APPEARS AS THOUGH IT MAY DROP DOWN IN FRONT OF THE OPERATOR IF A LARGE ENOUGH BUMP IN THE PAVEMENT IS ENCOUNTERED. THE VISOR HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE AND IT IS STILL NECESSARY TO INSERT A FOLDED NAPKIN/CLOTH BETWEEN THE VISOR AND THE HEADLINER TO KEEP IT STATIONARY. AT THIS TIME THE VEHICLE HAS 1375 MILES ON IT. I FIRST NOTICED THE VISOR MOVEMENT ON THE DRIVE HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP (AFTER PURCHASING…

Owner report 10788583 · 2015-11-05 (November 5, 2015)

THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED 22 TIMES. ISSUES RANGED FROM COMPUTER TO STEERING ISSUES. ON MORE THAN 1 OCCASION, THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP BEING REPAIRED FOR THREE WEEKS OF MORE IN A SINGLE MONTH. DURING A RECENT ROAD TRIP, THE VEHICLE WAS HARD TO CONTROL ON THE ROAD; THE STEERING WOULD DIFFICULT TO KEEP THE VEHICLE IN THE LANE DURING TURNS, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY AND COULD NOT DRIVE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. MY STEERING WHEEL IS NOT STRAIGHT, EVEN AFTER THE RECENT WHEEL ALIGNMENT WHEN THEY DISCOVERED THAT I DID NOT HAVE CAMBERS INSTALLED O…

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ARMADA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING WASHED, THE CONTACT NOTICED WATER ENTERING THE VEHICLE FROM THE DRIVER SIDE TAILGATE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE DEALER SUGGESTED REPLACING THE HINGES ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.

THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND MY VEHICLE IS NOT THAT OLD. IT'S FLASHING IN A PATTERN. I PURCHASED THE BEST EXTENDED WARRANTY AND BECAUSE AIRBAGS USUALLY DON'T HAVE PROBLEMS MY EXTENDED WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER IT. I HAVEN'T BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS OR ANYTHING THAT WOULD CAUSE THE AIRBAG LIGHT TO BE ON. IT'S ALWAYS ON.

Recall history

3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

14V803000 · Power Train:Automatic Transmission

Reported: 2014-12-19 (December 19, 2014)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2015 Nissan Armada vehicles manufactured September 15, 2014, to October 14, 2014. Due to interference between the parking rod and the transmission housing, the parking pawl may not fully engage.

Consequence: This condition may allow the vehicle to move with the shifter in the "Park" position, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the casting date stamp on the transmission housing and replace the affected transmissions, free of charge. The recall began January 19, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1- 800-647-7261.

15V501000 · Seat Belts:Front:Buckle Assembly

Reported: 2015-08-10 (August 10, 2015)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2015 Nissan Armada vehicles manufactured April 30, 2015, to June 5, 2015. The affected vehicles may have been built with driver or front passenger seat belt assemblies that may not properly latch or that may not unlatch when the release button is pressed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and number 209, " Seat Belt Assemblies."

Consequence: A seat belt that does not properly latch would not restrain a user, increasing their risk of injury in the event of a crash. A seat belt that does not properly unlatch when the release button is pressed may prevent the occupant from quickly exiting the vehicle in a emergency, such as after a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the both front seat belt buckle assemblies, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on September 14, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Reported: 2020-03-30 (March 30, 2020)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2012-2017 NV Cargo and NV Passenger Van, 2013-2015 Titan and Armada and 2011-2012 Infiniti QX56 vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the air bag inflator may not function properly or may rupture during deployment.

Consequence: An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front driver air bag inflators, free of charge. The recall began May 7, 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or Infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200.
