The rear brake does not slow the vehicle even when pressed to the end of brake lever travel. Yes, available for inspection upon request. Braking capability is reduced (only front brake works). Yes, the problem has been confirmed by dealer, and I was informed that it has been seen on other vehicles of the same make/model. The dealer attempted to fix the issue but it has resurfaced after only a short amount of time. The dealer informed me that it was a design issue where the brake fluid is too close to the hot exhaust system and this problem…

There is a known defect with all MV Agusta Motorcycles whereby the rear brake fails to operate in a normal fashion due to air getting into the brake system. The result is a "squishy" rear brake that does not activate the rear brake. End result is non-functioning rear brake. This puts the rider in a dangerous situation where they may not be able to brake in time to prevent an accident or full stop when needed. The problem is well known and documented by MV Agusta.
