TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MERCEDES BENZ CLK320. WHEN THE CONTACT SAT DOWN AND STARTED THE VEHICLE, THE ARM EXTENDERS CAME FORWARD AND THE SEAT BELT DID NOT MOVE AS A RESULT. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT NEW ARM EXTENDERS WERE NEEDED. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF, THE ARM EXTENDERS STAY IN ONE PLACE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE MAY BE ELECTRICAL. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MERCEDES BENZ CLK320. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT BELT INDICATOR IS ILLUMINATED, WHICH MEANS THE SRS NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE PREVENTS THE SEAT BELT FROM LOCKING PROPERLY. THERE IS ALSO A TELE-AIDE INDICATOR FLASHING IN THE CENTER OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBERS 03V534000 (SEAT BELTS) AND 08V303000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COSTS. MY VOLTAGE REGULATOR WENT OUT IN MY BENZ. IT SURGED AND DESTROYED OTHER COMPONENTS OF MY VEHICLE. NOT TOO MENTION THAT THIS IS HIGHLY IN SAFE. I RESEARCHED ON LINE, AND MERCEDES BENZ HAD DONE A VOLUNTARY RECALL, BUT THEY ARE NOT ACKNOWLEDGING THE ISSUE NOW, AND ARE DENYING IT. THEY SAY MY VIN DOESN'T MATCH, AND I QUESTIONED THERE INTEGRITY. AFTER STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT, I WENT THRU THE STREET AND GOING LESS THAN 25 MPH AND IN LESS THAN 100 YARDS DROVE DIRECTLY INTO AN OVERHEAD LIGHT STANDARD IN A MEDIAN STRIP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT AUTO SHOP AND AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY BOTH STATED THAT THE SEAT BEAT ASSEMBLY WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. 19V918000 · Visibility:Sun/Moon Roof Assembly

Reported: 2019-12-20 (December 20, 2019)

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2001-2011 vehicles. The bonding between the glass panel and the sliding roof frame may deteriorate, possibly resulting in the glass panel detaching from the vehicle. Consequence: A detached glass panel can separate from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the glass panel bonding and replace the sliding roof, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began July 10, 2020. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2020040011.

Reported: 2022-12-23 (December 23, 2022)

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2001-2011 C-Class, CLK, E-Class, and CLS vehicles. Please refer to MBUSA's recall report for specific vehicle model details. The glass sunroof panel may not be properly secured and may detach.

Consequence: A detached sunroof panel may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the sunroof panel as necessary free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 3, 2023. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. This recall expands NHTSA recall number 19V-918. MBUSA's numbers for this recall are 2023010004, 2023010005, and 2023010006.

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2001-2011 C-Class, CLK, E-Class, and CLS vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models and model years. The glass sunroof panel may not be properly secured and can detach.
