Recall history

1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

94V091000 · Vehicle Speed Control

Reported: 1994-05-13 (May 13, 1994)

THE FACTORY INSTALLED CRUISE CONTROL LINKAGE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ADEQUATELY LUBRICATED, WHICH CAN CAUSE BINDING AND THE THROTTLE WILL NOT RETURN TO THE CLOSED POSITION WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS RELEASED.

Consequence: THE THROTTLE STICKING RESULTS IN A LOSS OF SPEED CONTROL AND COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.

Remedy: REPLACE THE CRUISE CONTROL LINKAGE.
