1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

02V168000 · Exterior Lighting:Headlights

Reported: 2002-06-21 (June 21, 2002)

CERTAIN CLASS 8 CHASSIS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." FRONT DRIVE AXLES WERE INSTALLED BY THE MACUNGIE MODIFICATION CENTER. WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THE AXLE, THE OVERALL HEIGHT OF THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WAS RAISED.

Consequence: THIS CAN CAUSE THE NONCOMPLIANCE.

Remedy: A SET OF LAMPS WILL BE MOUNTED BELOW THE BUMPER, BRINGING THE LAMP HEIGHT INTO COMPLIANCE. THE EXISTING LAMPS IN THE HOOD WILL BE REMOVED AND DECORATIVE COVERS WILL BE INSTALLED TO COVER THE HOLES IN THE HOOD. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN OCTOBER 4, 2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT MACK AT 1-610-709-3337.
