Background and Contracted Scope At the recommendation of Mountain West Service Manager Kendall Weaver, I contracted with Mountain West to install an engine-mounted PTO (Power Take-Off) hydraulic pump on Truck #37 for use in a side dump trailer application. Kendall represented that the engine-mounted system would be more powerful and better suited to the truck. A side dump trailer requires bidirectional hydraulic flow , controlled pressure in both directions to operate the dump body. The pump specified and contracted for was Volvo part #203929…

Reported: 2024-06-04 (June 4, 2024)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2025 Mack AN, GR, and TE trucks. The drag link may contain an improperly heat-treated ball stud that can fail, resulting in a sudden loss of steering control.

Consequence: A sudden loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will inspect and replace the drag links, as necessary, free of charge. 24V504000 · Steering:Linkages:Tie Rod Assembly

Reported: 2024-07-02 (July 2, 2024)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2025 LR, Granite, and Pinnacle vehicles equipped with Composilite EXS20 steerable lift axle suspension assemblies. The tie rod assembly ball stud could have been improperly heat treated and can fail.

Consequence: The ball stud can separate from the vehicle becoming a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the tie rod end assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 15, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0468.

Reported: 2024-07-30 (July 30, 2024)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Anthem, Granite, and Pinnacle vehicles equipped with RollTek driver's seat assemblies. The seat pedestal and seat belt attachment may have been improperly tightened.

Consequence: An improperly tightened seat pedestal and seat belt attachment may not restrain the occupant as intended, increasing their risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace and tighten the seat pedestal and seat belt attachment bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 16, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0469.

24V773000 · Tires

Reported: 2024-10-18 (October 18, 2024)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2019-2025 GR and 2018 GU Granite vehicles equipped with non-DOT tested tires. The tires may not have been DOT tested and confirmed to be sufficient for the vehicles. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires - Other Than Passenger Cars."

Consequence: Insufficient tires can fail, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the tires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 6, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0471.

24V792000 · Electrical System:Software | Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Antilock/Traction Control/Electronic Limited Slip:Control Unit/Module

Reported: 2024-10-23 (October 23, 2024)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Anthem, Granite, TerraPro and Pinnacle vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

Consequence: Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0472.

25V382000 · Electrical System:12v/24v/48v Battery

Reported: 2025-06-10 (June 10, 2025)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2025 Anthem and Granite vehicles. The power cables may have been improperly routed, which can cause an electrical short.

Consequence: An electrical short can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash. An electrical short can also cause the cables to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will re-route the power cables, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 16, 2025. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0480.

25V666000 · Seat Belts:Front:Anchorage

Reported: 2025-10-06 (October 6, 2025)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Mack MD, 2019-2025 Anthem, Granite, 2024 MD Electric, and 2025 Pinnacle trucks equipped with a passenger bench seat. The seat belt anchorage bracket may be improperly welded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Consequence: An improperly welded seat belt anchorage bracket can detach during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will install a reinforcement plate, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 21, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Reported: 2025-11-03 (November 3, 2025)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Granite trucks equipped with LED headlights. The LED headlights may fail.

Consequence: Loss of headlight illumination can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the LED headlights, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed July 23, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177.
