ON OUR TRIP HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP, AROUND HALFWAY HOME, THE FACTORY ALUMINUM BATTERY MOUNT HOLDER, HOLDING A BRAND NEW FULL SIZE BATTERY THAT WAS IN A PLASTIC BOX SHEARED OFF THE TRAILER, THE ENTIRE APPARATUS FALLING UNDERNEATH THE CAMPER AS WE WERE TOWING IT DOWN A 4 LANE HIGHWAY, RIPPING OFF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS AS WELL. WE THOUGHT WE HAD LOST A WHEEL, WHEN THE CAMPER RAN OVER THE FALLEN BATTERY, YANKING OUR CAR OUT OF IT'S LANE, AND SENDING THE BATTERY, BOX & ALUMINUM BRACKET EXPLODING INTO MULTIPLE PIECES AND STREWING IT INTO T…

Reported: 2016-12-01 (December 1, 2016)
Livin' Lite Recreational Vehicles (Livin' Lite) is recalling certain model year 2017 Camplight and Quick Silver RV Trailers, Toyhaulers, and Truck Campers manufactured May 19, 2016, to November 18, 2016. The affected vehicles have a rubber liquid propane (LP) gas line connecting the range hood and the pilot light, instead of a 12" hard pipe.
Consequence: A rubber LP gas line connected to the pilot light can get hot and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Livin' Lite will notify owners, and dealers will install a 12" copper extension between the range hood and pilot light, free of charge. The recall began on January 9, 2017. Owners may contact Livin' Lite customer service at 1-866-272-5578.
