MY LEXUS GS 430 2001 HAS A PROBLEM THAT I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT FROM THE TIME PURCHASED. THE PROBLEM IS IN THE FRONT END. I HAVE RETURNED THE CAR SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THE CAR WONDERING ALL OVER THE ROAD. THE DRIVER LITERALLY HAS TO FIGHT WITH THE STEERING WHEEL TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. THE EMPLOYEES AT LEXUS OF MASSAPEQUA, DRIVE THE CAR AND SAY THEY FIND NOTHING WRONG. IF THE PROBLEM IS NOT IN THE FRONT END, THEN THE CAUSE OF THE DANGEROUS STEERING COULD BE THE TIRES. DT: CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A DOOR LOCK PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER NOTICED THE PROBLEM WHEN THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT ON THE DASH WAS ILLUMINATED. HE TRIED TO LOCK DOOR WITH THE REMOTE AND THE KEY AND IT WOULD NOT LOCK. THIS HAPPENED ON THE REAR PASSENGER'S DOOR. WHEN HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. HE STILL HAD A WARRANTY AND DID NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. THEY REPLACED THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR AND INTERNAL OPEN DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY. LEXUS 2001 GS430 EXHIBITED ACCELERATION WHILE BRAKING. TWO OR THREE INCIDENTS IN 8 YEARS "APPROXIMATE INCIDENT DATE" IS NOT VALID SINCE I HAVE NOT HAD A RECENT INCIDENT. I AM FILING THIS REPORTS IN VIEW OF THE RECENT TOYOTA ACCELERATION PROBLEM REPORTS. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 LEXUS GS430. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE STALLED AND THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY FOR FOUR YEARS. THE ONLY CONSTANT WAS THAT IT HAPPENED WHENEVER THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS ENGAGED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE AND REPAIR THE PROBLEM.
