Owner report 11042255 · 2017-11-01 (November 1, 2017)

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH WHEN MY SUNROOF EXPLODED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. IT SOUNDED LIKE A SHOT GUN WENT OFF IN MY CAR AND SCARED ME SO BAD I NEARLY LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I LITERALLY THOUGHT I WAS BEING SHOT AT. IT TOOK ME A SECOND TO REALIZE WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I LOOKED AROUND AND THERE WAS GLASS ALL OVER MYSELF (DRIVER), AND THE FRONT SEATS. MOST OF THE GLASS LANDED IN MY CHILD'S CAR SEAT ON THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE. THANKFULLY HE WASN'T IN THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. I THOUGHT AT FIRST IT…

Owner report 11081981 · 2018-03-29 (March 29, 2018)

WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE A FLAT TIRE USING THE FACTORY SUPPLIED VEHICLE JACK, THE JACK FELL OVER AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO FALL, PINNING MY HAND IN BETWEEN THE SPARE TIRE AND THE REAR LEFT FENDER. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGED. MY HAND WAS PINNED FOR ABOUT 3-5 MINUTES BEFORE MY SON AND A GOOD SAMARITAN WERE ABLE TO LIFT THE VEHICLE OFF OF MY HAND. I LATER HAD X-RAYS DONE, WHICH WERE NEGATIVE. MY HAND WAS CUT AND BRUISED, SO I DID HAVE TO GET A TETANUS SHOT.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2006-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured April 15, 2005, to September 4, 2012. One or both of the flexible front brake hoses may rupture causing loss of brake fluid.
