Owner report 11419551 · 2021-06-03 (June 3, 2021)

Last Thursday, 5/27/2021, I was driving on the interstate and all of sudden my vehicle became inoperable due to the same issue I have been having all along--mechanical failure of the suspension of the car/wheel. The bushings, bearings, alignment is out of whack. The wheel is out of alignment of the brake calipers. The wheel was literally rubbing against the brake caliper. I could have been killed due to faulty and mechanical failure of this vehicle. The car is broken and obviously Land Rover is clueless as to how to fix it for good. It's …

Owner report 11512480 · 2023-03-17 (March 17, 2023)

I drive a 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, which was serviced over three months. The certified dealership replaced the head gasket, fuel injectors, cylinder heads, and starter engines. The car was less than three years old and had never had any issues before service. The car had a sweet burning odor and very rough gear shifts post-service. Two days before the fire, the check engine light came on within the car. The dealership repeatedly assured me that the vehicle was safe to drive and the symptoms I experienced were normal. As soon as I pulled…

Recall history

4 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

20V683000 · Electrical System:Software

Reported: 2020-11-05 (November 5, 2020)

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque MHEV vehicles. The 48 volt electrical system may experience an overload event, causing a failure of the Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET) and result in a DCDC converter electrical short-circuit.

Consequence: An electrical short-circuit increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owners are advised to exit the vehicle when it is parked and park outside away from buildings or structures until the repair is complete. The recall began December 8, 2020. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-369-1000. Land Rover's number for this recall is N503.

20V751000 · Electrical System:Instrument Panel:Speedometer/Odometer | Electrical System:Software

Reported: 2020-12-03 (December 3, 2020)

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020 Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque vehicles. A software error may cause the instrument cluster to randomly alternate the speedometer and odometer units between Miles Per Hour (MPH) and Kilometers Per Hour (KM/H) without driver input to the display unit. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."

Consequence: The changing displays may cause driver distraction or confusion and possibly result in excessive speed, which can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall began January 19, 2021. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N516.

The seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent the child restraint system from securing properly.

Consequence: An unsecured child restraint system can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed October 20, 2021. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N630.

Reported: 2026-04-17 (April 17, 2026)

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar and Land Rover Discovery, 2020-2023 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, 2019-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Range Rover, 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Defender, 2021-2024 Jaguar F-Pace, and 2021-2022 Jaguar E-Pace mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEVs.) The DC-DC converter can fail due to an internal fault in the boost control microchip. A failure of the DC-DC converter will result in a loss of 12-Volt system charging and can lead to complete loss of drive power and exterior lighting.

Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: The remedy for this recall is currently under development. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 17, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's numbers for this recall are D126 and H575.
