TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 KTM 950 ADVENTURE. WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH THE WINDSCREEN REFLECTS A GLARE AND MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE. THERE WAS AN OPTICAL DISTORTION MIDWAY OF THE WINDSCREEN. THE MOTORCYCLE WINDSREEN WAS ALSO REPLACED BY THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 27,300. 07V065000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Foundation Components:Master Cylinder

Reported: 2007-02-23 (February 23, 2007)

ON CERTAIN 950 MOTORCYCLES, THE REAR BRAKE MAY FEEL SPONGY OR SOFT WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKE. THIS COULD LEAD TO IMPROPER REAR BRAKING.

Consequence: IMPROPER REAR BRAKING COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

Remedy: KTM DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM COMPONENTS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 1, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT KTM AT 1-440-985-3553.
