HAD 3,000 MILES ON OUR CAMPER BEFORE OUR TRIP TO COLORADO. CAMPER WAS INSPECTED PRIOR TO OUR TRIP AND TIRES SHOWED FAIRLY NORMAL WEAR. IT WAS INSPECTED AT WIDE WORLD RV IN WILKES BARRE PA. PHONE [phone removed]. AFTER RETURNING HOME FROM OUR TRIP TO COLORADO I HAD NOTICE THE RIGHT REAR TIRE ON THE CAMPER TO BE WORN THREW THE STEEL CORDS ON ONLY THE INSIDE 20% OF THE TIRE. THE FRONT ONE IS STILL LIKE NEW. HOWEVER THE 2 TIRES ON THE RIGHT SIDE ARE WORN APPROX. 40% ON THE INSIDE 20% OF THE TIRE. UPON LIFTING THE TRAILER THERE IS MUCH MORE TH…

Reported: 2007-03-22 (March 22, 2007)
CERTAIN FIFTH WHEEL AND TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH A TWO-DOOR REFRIGERATOR, MANUFACTURED BY THE DOMETIC CORPORATION, MAY HAVE A DEFECT IN CERTAIN TUBING IN THE REFRIGERATOR WHICH COULD ALLOW PRESSURIZED FLAMMABLE COOLANT SOLUTION TO BE RELEASED INTO AN AREA WHERE AN IGNITION SOURCE (GAS FLAME) IS PRESENT.
Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy: KEYSTONE RV WILL BE WORKING WITH DOMETIC IN ORDER TO REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS (PLEASE SEE 06E076). DOMETIC WILL REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS BY INSTALLING A SECONDARY BURNER HOUSING AND THERMAL FUSES FREE OF CHARGE. DOMETIC HAS RETAINED STERICYCLE INC. TO MANAGE THIS CAMPAIGN. STERICYCLE WILL ASSIST YOU IN LOCATING DEALERSHIPS OR SERVICE CENTERS AND WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH SCHEDULING OF APPOINTMENTS. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRAVEL TRAILERS. ELECTRICAL WIRES WERE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED AND CAN BE PINCHED BETWEEN THE WATER TANK SUPPORT CROSS MEMBER AND THE FURNACE PLENUM.
Consequence: THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT, INCREASING THE RISK OF AN ELECTRICAL FIRE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRING AND REROUTE THE WIRES IF NECESSARY.
