TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 KAWASAKI CUSTOM 900. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES AND DECELERATES ON ITS OWN NORMALLY. IN SEPTEMBER OF 2008, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED SUDDENLY WHILE IDLING. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND ALMOST CRASHED SEVERAL TIMES. HE SWERVED UNTIL HE WAS ABLE TO REACH THE TURN OFF SWITCH. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR OVER THE COURSE OF FIVE MONTHS, BUT THE FAILURE STILL PERSISTS. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 4,400.
