2007 KAWASAKI KLR 650 WITH TIRE FAILURE. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE TIRES HAVE SEPARATION CRACKS FROM THE TIRE CARCASS. HE STATES THAT THE CRACKS BEGIN TWO INCHES FROM THE RIM ON BOTH TIRES AND ARE DEEP INTO THE TIRE CARCASS. *KB (DUNLOP TIRES) *JB

MY COMPLAINT IS ABOUT THE "CROTCH ROCKET" MOTORCYCLES THAT GO OVER 100 MPH ON 2ND & 3RD GEAR ON OUR PUBLIC STREETS. THESE BIKES WERE DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONAL RACERS AND ARE BEING MARKETED TO YOUNG ADULTS. THEY SHOULD BE REGULATED. MY SON LOST HIS BEST FRIEND LAST WEEK ON ONE OF THESE BIKES. HOW CAN WE GET THEM OUTLAWED. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 KAWASAKI KLR650 MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE REAR WHEEL SEIZED ABNORMALLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE TORSION SPRING FRACTURED INTO SMALL PIECES AND HAD FALLEN INTO THE TRANSMISSION GEAR, CAUSING THE REAR WHEEL TO LOCK. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 29,000.
